Globalization,
the word alone makes you think of a whole, of something integrated, well and
that’s exactly what globalization means. The world is losing its barriers,
people are aware of each other’s culture, status, knowledge and way of being.
And this was made easier by the advances of instant communication and
technology.
That is why
any person that considers themselves globalized needs to have some kind of
instant communication vehicle whether it is the computer, the television, or
even something that can combine these two, an average smart phone, nowadays to
be in contact with the world and all of what’s happening around we just check
our phones. Whether we want to check the weather, the stock market, politics,
updates on current humanitarian campaigns people have unlimited access to
information of any sort.
I think I speak
for a lot of people in my generation when I say that, I can’t live without my
phone, everything I want to do I can often use my phone, since this revolution
of Smartphone’s came out I have been paying less attention to the TV and to the
computer that used to be the only way I got daily updated information on what
was happening throughout the world.
So I think
it’s safe to say that the object that makes me a globalized person is in fact
the telephone.
What’s your
opinion?
Thank you
for reading,
Diana
Thank you for your post, Diana. I also think that the phone can clearly symbolise Globalisation, specially after the introduction of all the applications, programs and devices that allow you to do almost everything but phoning:)...Well done! As a group I think you could and should adapt your template to your general topic so that your readers can be immediately taken to a specific universe.
